The role of this site

Playground Finder Finland is a free hobby project run by a single individual, intended to help families discover places for children in Finland. The site is not an official service and is not run by any municipality, association or company.

Data sources and licenses

Google Places

The base information about each place — name, location, address, category, star rating and review count — is fetched via the Google Places API. The data is displayed in accordance with Google's terms of service.

Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)

The mapping between postal codes and neighborhoods is sourced from Wikipedia: Luettelo Suomen postinumeroista kunnittain. The content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.

Data accuracy and disclaimer

We try to keep the data as up to date as possible, but cannot guarantee that it is error-free. Place details — such as name, address, the existence of a playground, opening hours or equipment — may change without the change being immediately reflected here.

The site administrator is not responsible for any errors or damage that may arise from the use of the site's data. We recommend verifying a place's status before planning a long trip.

Correction requests and feedback

If you notice incorrect or incomplete information about a place, or would like to suggest a new place, send a message via the contact page. Corrections are made in the next data update.

Site use

The site is intended for free personal use. Bulk scraping, automated content copying or commercial resale of the site's data is not permitted. The original data sources (Google Places, Wikipedia) retain the rights to their content.

User privacy

The site does not collect personal data from users and does not use advertising cookies. See the privacy policy for details.
