Ysitien Lemmikki

Ysitien Lemmikki is a family-run petting zoo in Leppälahti, about 18 km north-east of Jyväskylä on Highway 9. The park is home to over 20 species including ponies, llamas, donkeys, sheep, goats, rabbits, peacocks, rare chicken breeds, wild boars and reindeer, most of which can be approached and petted up close. Pony cart rides run twice a day, and the grounds include swings, sandboxes and grill spots for visitors who bring their own food. Main paths are gravel or grass and accessible with strollers. Nokkakivi amusement park is only a few kilometres away, making it easy to combine the two destinations into a single day trip from Jyväskylä.
