Tarhalehdon Petting Zoo

Tarhalehdon eläinpiha is a family farm in Lievestuore, Laukaa, home to over 100 animals. The yard hosts sheep, goats, horses, ponies, pigs, cows, chickens, turkeys, ducks, donkeys, reindeer and farm cats, and many of the animals can be petted and fed fresh hay. The farm has been in the same family since 1926, and the old farmyard with its historic buildings adds a nostalgic feel. The grounds have a play area with a slide, a sandbox, a playhouse and a kota shelter for visitors who bring their own food. Shetland pony rides and horse-drawn carriage rides are also available. The farm sits about a 20-minute drive from Jyväskylä, with the Nokkakivi amusement park also nearby.
