Maretarium

Maretarium is a freshwater and brackish water aquarium in Sapokka in Kotka, presenting over 50 species of Finnish inland water and Baltic Sea fish. Highlights include the large Baltic Sea tank with herring shoals and the river and lake tanks featuring pike, perch, pikeperch and sturgeon. Information panels and regular feedings, worth timing your visit around, complete the experience. A visit typically takes 1–1.5 hours and combines well with the adjoining Sapokka water park and the maritime museum complex. The route is fully accessible. Parking is available next to the building and the site sits right beside central Kotka.
