Elämyspiha PikkuKili

Very popular
PikkuKili is a wildlife park and tourist destination on a hilltop in the village of Kelvä in Lieksa. Its six-hectare grounds are home to over 200 animals, including the usual farm species plus wild boars, reindeer, donkeys, mules, an alpaca, a miniature pony, peacocks and an ostrich. A 22-metre observation tower reveals views over Lake Pielinen to Koli and the other hills of North Karelia. Children's facilities add a playground, pony rides and a swimming spot in an artificial pond. The grounds include a kiosk, a sauna and traditional log cabins for overnight stays. The whole area is designed with mobility needs in mind. A wood-fired kota shelter is available for breaks with packed snacks. The park sits about 40 km from central Lieksa and 70 km from Joensuu.
