Oulunsalo Central Playground

An aviation-themed central playground in Viljapuisto in the Oulunsalo district of Oulu, near the school and sports field. The theme arose from an idea by local schoolchildren, and it shows in the park's structures and play equipment. A special feature of the area is a graffiti wall that may be freely painted, making the site more versatile than an ordinary playground. In winter the adjacent lit fitness trail turns into a ski track and a nearby field is flooded for skating, so the place serves year-round. The proximity of the school and sports field makes the site a natural gathering place for area families. The themed and versatile whole offers activities for children of different ages.
