Barkerinpuisto Playground

A fenced playground on the western bank of the Aura River near the River Föri ferry landing in central Turku. The long, narrow park's special feature is a scale model of Turku's famous funicular, which adds a local touch to play. Around the play area there are rose and perennial plantings and statues, and the river views make the surroundings pleasant. On the other side rises Kakolanmäki hill, and nearby there are cafés and an ice-cream kiosk. A pleasant local destination with a scenic spot right in the heart of the city.
