Kuopio Traffic Park

A free traffic park beside Lake Valkeisenlampi in the Niirala district of Kuopio, where the youngest practise traffic rules in a miniature traffic environment. The area features a roundabout, road narrowings, one-way and two-way streets, street and traffic lights and a fuelling station. In the summer season instructors hand out pedal cars and guide traffic rules, and the street names are based on children's own suggestions. Outside opening hours the park is open for use with your own bicycle or scooter. A small playground and a covered grandstand sit next door. A level path circling the lake suits a walk for the whole family.
