Särkänniemi

Särkänniemi sits on a lakeside peninsula in central Tampere, combining an amusement park, aquarium, planetarium and the Näsinneula observation tower within walking distance. The park offers around 30 rides, plus the Kärsänniemi children's area themed around the Pouta Possu pig character with gentler attractions for the youngest visitors. Näsinneula provides sweeping 168-metre views over Lake Näsijärvi and the city. Several restaurants, cafés and summer concerts complete the experience. Entry to the grounds is free, while rides are paid. The central location is easily reached on foot or by tram from Tampere city centre.
