Piika Playground

A playground in idyllic old buildings south of the Malminkartano district of Helsinki, a place for play and connection for families with babies and children year-round. The buildings once housed the farm manager of a university agricultural campus, lending the site a distinctive atmosphere. Beyond sandboxes, swings and climbing frames, the yard offers a separate fenced area for small children, a summer paddling pool, a basketball hoop, table tennis and a pedal carousel. A free meal is served to under-16s in summer, and guided activities run in the mornings. A charming tree-lined lane leads to the park.
