Nurkka Playground

A playground at the border of the Puistola and Heikinlaakso districts of Helsinki, in connection with a community centre, with a large forested yard. The extensive yard has a grass field, a track for kick and pedal bikes, sandboxes, a ball field and a ball wall, and in summer a wading pool is in use. Climbing frames are available for both older and younger children, and the very youngest have their own fenced area. Inside there is a cosy fireplace room where play can continue and snacks can be eaten in the rain. The playground serves as a place for play and meeting for families with babies and children as well as schoolchildren year-round. The open and versatile yard gives good visibility when out with several children.
