Tuhkimonpuisto Playground

A renovated playground between two forested rocky slopes in the Roihuvuori district of Helsinki, whose sheltered and green atmosphere sets it apart in the urban setting. The park is a popular play and lounging area on the route between Kirsikkapuisto and a Japanese-style garden. The play equipment includes rope slides, swings and climbing frames, so there is plenty to do for children of different ages. The forested location connects well to the surrounding recreational routes and invites combining play with a nature outing. The park houses the area's own village hall, and a skate spot is also nearby. In spring the blossoming of the nearby cherry trees brings its own atmosphere to the surroundings.
