Mäkitorppa Playground

A renovated and accessible guided playground in a central spot in the Oulunkylä district of Helsinki. The fenced yard has sandboxes, swings and climbing frames plus a separate fenced area for the youngest children. There is also a cycling track, a pedal carousel, a ball field with football goals and floorball equipment, and in summer a wading pool and water play. In winter the yard's mounds serve as sledding hills and the field is flooded for skating. Indoors, free guided activities are organised in the mornings for families with babies and children. Good transport links make the site easy to reach year-round.
